Fit for a queen...

I'm utterly in love with the collections available online at Alexander McQueen at the moment, there is a fantastic array of styles ranging from super pretty and feminine to glamorous and sexy while at the same time all being focussed on shape and style.

I'm particularly taken by this sweet Ivory/Flesh Barnacle Jacquard Mini-Dress £1,585.00. The detail is subtle yet stylish and it would be the ideal piece for any summer wedding or garden party due to it's neutral and versatile style.

In my ideal dream bank balance world I'd match it up with these striking Flesh Shell Skull Peep-Toe Pumps £640.00

At first glance these shoes are elegant and feminine however the shell/skull detail on the toe and the stud embellishments on the platform add a slightly edgy touch and bring these otherwise plain shoes bang up to date.

And seeing as I'm fantasizing of my dream bank balance it would be simply rude not to finish off the look with a matching handbag, and this fabulous Shell Flesh Coral Skull Knucklebox Clutch £1,495.00 which is the ideal size to carry all of your essentials and matches the detailing on the shoes perfectly with the shell and skull knuckle duster style handle.

At the end of the day if you're going to have a dream make sure you dream big!

High end dreams, Primark reality

Hi and welcome to the first post of my shiny new fashion and beauty blog!

As with most girls I do love to lust and dream about products which I really either shouldn't (or couldn't buy). I admit I have a slight addiction when it comes to Tiffany Jewellery and Mulberry handbags - of which I'm lucky to own one (nicknamed "The Precious") which rarely leaves the safety of my bedroom, partly because it's expensive and mainly because I was stupid enough to buy one that was cream!

Given the glorious, typical, British weather of recent days, my fashion fantasies have wander into a somewhat bizarre territory, the world of umbrellas!

In particular I've fallen head over heels with this stunning Lulu Guinness Birdcage Umbrella - £32.00.

For one I'm totally obsessed with birds, hence my numerous bird tattoos, but I also love the old fashion delicate  detailing. It's pretty yet practical and better still it's transparent - always a bonus for a short arse with the constant threat of taking someone's eye out during a blustery shower!

It's fair to say that if I wasn't bound to leave it on the metro or under the table in a pub somewhere I would own this by now :)

Fancy something a little more portable? How about this sleek but super cute Kooky Cat Face Tiny Umbrella £28.00. Small and compact with a matching cover it's perfect to tuck away in your handbag in case of a potential downpour/frizzy hair emergency!

Like what you see? Why not check out the full Lulu Guinness collection here.

Happy shopping!
